Counseling & Health

The Student Services team at Louisville Middle School has one goal in mind: to best support the students, their families, and the LMS community. As a team, we are here to serve the students of LMS with their academics, their social or emotional issues, and helping them connect that what they are doing today is helping pave the way for the rest of their lives.

We love what we do and are truly grateful to be doing what we love at Louisville Middle School!  Please visit our website: LMS Student Services

BVSD Counseling Vision Statement

To optimize school success for all students in the academic, career, and personal-social domains. This will be accomplished through a Comprehensive School Counseling Program.
Therefore, a counselor’s role is:

* To provide curriculum in the areas of academic success, career development, and life skills

* To teach, promote, and model the New Century Graduate skills

* To advocate for ALL students

* To promote district and school goals such as achievement, cultural diversity, equity and school safety.

Please visit the BVSD Counseling website for additional resources and information.

School counselors are an important resource and partner for our students, providing guidance and support in a variety of areas to help them be successful in their academic, post-secondary and personal lives.

Areas of Support

Tiered Support

Through the Multi-Tiered System of Supports, we provide more targeted and intensive help for students who need it -- both academically and social/emotionally.

Universal
We strive to support all students with universal programming.

Targeted
When a student is struggling, our teachers, school counselors and psychologists give more targeted help.

Intensive
If targeted support does not work or a student is in crisis our educators employ more intensive interventions.
